MIA MIA is the quarterly
magazine of MU Australia and is distributed to all members through their Dioceses.
Mia Mia stands for 'Mothers In Australia' and ‘mia-mia’ is a traditional name for the homes of our indigenous sisters.
Each issue contains articles written by members of MU Australia Executive and guest contributors. Also included are news items from the MU Australia Dioceses.
Audio Mia Mia
Is available free of charge to all visually impaired members.
It can be downloaded from the website or posted either on tape or CD.
This is now being recorded by Liz Hampel and members of Mount Barker MU.
Mia Mia Editor - Christine Brain
These mp3 recordings were primarily recorded for those who are visually impaired.
However, by having separate recordings, we feel more options and opportunities will be opened to more people.
Each mp3 article can be separately downloaded.
How could you or your branch or parish utilise these recordings?
For information on how to order the audio version on tape or CD, please email

Acknowledgement of Country
Under the sovereignty of the one Creator, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who made all peoples in his own image, Mothers Union Australia acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of Country throughout Australia and acknowledges their continuing connection to land, waters and community.
We pay our respects to the people, the cultures and the Elders past, present and emerging and pray for God's blessing on all Australians as we seek reconciliation and justice.
