The Book of Thanksgiving
• As is used with messages of a joyous nature, such as birth, anniversary, a home coming or the loss of a loved one. This is kept in the Cathedral. Monies donated for the messages is put into a Fund and given to the Deacons to further their studies.
Emergency Accommodation Fund
• "This fund inaugurated in 1988, was launched on Lady Day by Bishop Graeme Walden, firstly as Emergency Caravan Accommodation.
• Now, all types of accommodation, at the most reasonable rate, for a maximum period of five days, for those in desperate need, anywhere in the Diocese. Recommendation of a client must come from a Parish Priest, who then contacts the President or Secretary or the Dean of the Cathedral for approval. All costs are reimbursed by the Diocesan Mothers' Union Emergency Accommodation Fund."
• The money is invested and the interest is used for this fund.
