Mothers’ Union is a Christian membership based organization with 4 million members across 83 countries Members run grassroots initiatives that give hope and empowerment to women to further their education and become self-sufficient thus enabling them to provide for themselves and their families.
Examples of some of the countries and projects Mothers’ Union is involved in:
- ETHIOPIA: Literacy project
- UGANDA: The Family Life Programme.
- KENYA, GHANA and SIERRA LEONE: HIV/AIDS Programme.
- BURUNDI: Literacy and Development Programme, Financial Micro Management and Education.
- IRAQ: St George's Cathedral Members provide food daily for both Christians and Moslems who come to St George's.

Mothers’ Union World Wide Headquarters is Mary Sumner House London
They respond to all emergencies world wide. If a country does not have Mothers’ Union Membership they work with an Agency who works at the grass roots level.

Northern Outreach
MU Australia supports the three Northern Dioceses - North Queensland, Northern Territory and
North-West Australia with their projects as requested by the Bishop of the Diocese each year.
